In this crucial role, you’ll be responsible for:

 

  • Developing and implementing effective inventory control procedures to streamline operations, minimize shrinkage, and optimize stock turnover.
  • Collaborating closely with procurement and production to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and place timely orders to prevent stockouts and reduce carrying costs.
  • Conducting regular inventory audits, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring the accuracy of the inventory database while adhering to company policies.
  • Overseeing the efficient management of stock to meet customer demands and minimize surplus or obsolete inventory.

 

To be successful, you’ll need:

 

  • Proficiency in utilizing inventory management software and systems for accurate stock tracking and minimal discrepancies.
  • A talent for managing multiple tasks, prioritizing effectively, and coordinating seamlessly across departments to ensure on-time deliveries within budget and operational requirements.
  • The ability to analyze complex data sets and compile insightful reports on inventory performance, using these findings to propose data-driven recommendations for improved efficiency and reduced costs.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for successful collaboration with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and vendors to address inventory concerns, negotiate favorable pricing, and build strong relationships for a smooth-running supply chain.

 

The ideal candidate will possess:

 

  • 4-5 years of relevant experience within the oil and gas industry
  • A Bachelor’s degree, Diploma, or equivalent qualification
